Data collection and processing by visiting our websites

Personal data is only collected, used and passed on by PROIMMO if this is legal or the user gives his/her consent to data collection. For technical reasons, visiting the website using your browser will result in your IP address and other technical data, such as, e.g. information about the browser type and access times, being transmitted to us.

IP address and MAC address

The IP address is the globally valid identification of your computer that is unique at the time of allocation by your internet service provider and, in its currently most common form (IPv4), consists of four numerical blocks separated by dots. As a private user, you will generally not use a consistent IP address, since you will only be assigned this temporarily by your provider (so-called "dynamic IP address"). In the case of a permanently assigned IP address (so-called "static IP address"), clear allocation of user data is possible in principle using this feature. Except for the purpose of tracking unauthorised access to our website, we generally use this data for evaluations on an anonymous basis and not a personal one, for example, which of our websites are favoured, how many times a day they are accessed and similar things.

If you already have a newer version of the IP address (IPv6), you should also know the following: the IPv6 address consists of 8 blocks of four. The first four blocks, as with the entire IPv4 address, are typically dynamically assigned to private users. The last four blocks of an IPv6 address (the so-called "interface identifier"), however, are determined by the terminal that they use to browse the website. Unless otherwise set in your operating system, the so-called MAC address is used. The MAC address is a kind of serial number that is unique to every IP-capable device in the world. [We therefore do not store the last four blocks of your IPv6 address.] We generally recommend that you activate the so-called “privacy extensions” or your end device, to better anonymise the last four blocks of your IPv6 address. The most common operating systems have a "privacy extensions" feature but it is not the default setting in many cases.
